Hailing from Portland in Oregon, artist Salvatore Manalo crafts modern R&B carried by his melodic writing and smooth soulful vocal work. Infusing honest storytelling with musical complexity, he offers a blend of pop music that’s both familiar yet entirely his own.
With a string of singles and his debut album, Homemade, under his belt, he’s won over fans and tastemakers alike with his fiercely catchy writing. Now he brings us his latest offering with the new single called “Dreaming”.
Aptly titled, the new song delivers a dreamy sound of lightly grooving rhythms, blissful vocal leads and an elegant arrangement of reverb-drenched piano and euphoric backing vocals. Uplifting and charming, it’s an instantly timeless R&B piece for the modern age.
Commenting on the new single he offers, “I wanted to write something larger than life and ended up producing a large portion of this track in one day. I kept hearing the chorus in my head and decided
to write about the dreamlike state of being with the people you care about.”
Adding, “I sent over the track to my friend Matt Brewster to lay a proper bass track here in Portland, my buddy Trevor Lund who was on a cruise ship to put some brass on, and the talented Jenni Rudoph to do harmonies down in LA.”
