Electronic artist from Portmouth, UK, FROOTS brings us his latest release with the single “Angola”. His first new music of the year, the new track offers more of his rhythmically focused sound of organic house and chillstep.
Channeling the sound of artists like Ark Patrol, FROOTS blends punching beats with vocal sample shots and piquant and exotic instrumentation to deliver his unique take on the genres.
Commenting on the track, he offers, “I started this song in early January 2021 and spent the best part of a month working on it. The Song began with the glitchy pads you hear through which originated from a really fun sample that I manipulated and chopped up to create the melody. I think it has a really unique sound and it’s in my opinion the best release of mine to date.”
