Parra for Cuva has carved a unique position as an artist, who brought a truly original sound to electronic music by mixing emotional dance floor experimentations with acoustic and ethnic soundscapes.
Following on from the success of his most recent LP Pastpatou, the German producer has linked with Kyson and Beau Diako on his latest track “Ordel”. Offering a familiar Parra for Cuva sound of gentle rhythms and a dreamy arrangement of electronic and acoustic instrumentation, “Ordel” still delivers a fresh take on the formula that’s worked so perfectly for the artist before.
The new single is the first single released from Juno, Parra for Cuva’s upcoming album. Musically the track offers what Parra for Cuva does best, namely mixing wildly different sonic elements and styles into a coherent and meditative sound journey with subtle twists that interrupt the hypnotic groove.
Singer Kyson’s airy vocals give the song a tint of melancholy, while British neo-soul musician Beau Diako provided the gentle guitar strings that carry the track forward. In the end, “Ordel” is a dreamy escape into simpler times.
Accompanying the track is a music video directed by Japanese-Brazilian filmmaker Rodrigo Inada, who complimented the music with visuals that convey the absolute freedom of childhood and a bird’s flight.
