Off-the-grid nomad Goth Babe has announced an exciting EP in partnership with Protect Our Winters, a non-profit that focuses its efforts on legislation regarding climate change and public lands. In anticipation of the record, he’s debuted a touching new single called “I Wanna Help Your Mind” that comes equipped with a carefree, animated music video.
Goth Babe lives in his campervan with his canine companion Sadie, driving up and down the coast surfing, snowboarding, and rock climbing. He has a solar powered recording studio in the back where he writes and records everything himself.
When he’s not traveling, he’s finishing up his tiny home he’s built in the Pacific Northwest outside Portland, Oregon. The artist has amassed over 100 million streams, sold out shows from New York and Chicago to Los Angeles, and had his music featured by Burton Snowboards, LetterKenny and Everlane. Part musician, surfer, snowboarder, climber, vagabond – he embodies a true wanderlust spirit and has an amazing story to tell.
With his latest single “I Wanna Help Your Mind” delivers a blend of acoustic and psychedelic synth instrumentation invoking a sense of sonic charm by channelling the sound of artists such as MGMT and Foster The People. Upbeat and catchy, this rhythmic indie pop piece offers an optimistic and feel-good listening experience. Additionally, all of the proceeds from his new music and merchandise are going towards Protect Our Winters.
The accompanying music video, directed by Stephanie Haller of Halla Creative, captures the whimsical musical sound with a string of abstract animations and graphics.
