Born and Raised in Ireland, Elliott Mo began experimenting in music creation while studying in University. Analysing the production style of Kanye West and other Classic Hip-Hop producers while drawing inspiration and influence from artists such as Four Tet, Richard D. James, Jamie xx, Michael Giacchino, Thom Yorke, Burial, BMB and Sandwell District.
Through a chance encounter, Elliott found himself in the presence of legendary producer Mike Dean (Kanye West, Jay-Z, Madonna, Travis Scott) , gaining invaluable knowledge and archives of plug-ins, this brief experience served as a catalyst for Elliott and the music that was to come.
Elliott was previously one half of Electro Pop collective Xo Mo along with childhood friend Xona. Through writing within Xo Mo, conducting live settings across the festival circuits in Ireland and creating remixes, the style of the music Elliott creates has been shaped and perfected over time to be delivered in the medium that is closest to his heart.
The artist now brings us his latest release, with the track “Motion”, an electronic song with beautiful pads progressed by the drums leading into an arpeggiated chorus, harmonised with a beautiful vocal.
Blending House and Garage elements, the Irish producer builds a driving sound that’s equally rhythm oriented as it is focused on melody. Dreamy vocal samples soar over punching beats and staccato synth lines to create an intriguing listening experience that sits as well on a home sound system as it would on the dance floor.
