P!lot is an up and coming 19 year old electronic music producer. A massive fan of all types of music, P!lot has been influenced by many different genres ranging from classical pieces by the likes of Ryuichi Sakamoto and Nick Cave, the electronic tracks of Daft Punk and The Chemical Brothers to the more melancholic downbeat style of Radiohead.
Described as “London’s Most Promising Melodic House Artist” on A&R Factory’s website, P!lot has been featured on IWRadio’s ‘Live and Local’ podcast and by BBC Music Introducing.
Now the producer brings us his latest release, with his fourth single to date, “Midnight”. The light drum and bass track has a cinematic, ethereal sound which was inspired by film music combined with a 90s breakbeat drum pattern.
Juxtaposing the energy and drive of the beats is the ambient and atmospheric sound of the instrumentation. Commenting on the track, the producer offers, “I wanted to create contrast within the track which gives it more depth.”
