Founder and long-time resident of one of Canada’s longest running and most prolific bass music nights: ‘Bass Drive Wednesdays’ VILIFY set a strong foundation before relocating to Berlin in 2014.
With deep roots in Toronto’s vibrant Jungle and Drum’n’Bass scene (alongside classical, opera and metal influences at home) VILIFY continues to take the listener on an unexpected journey, seamlessly mixing various genres and energy. Having toured much of the world, releasing a deep and ever growing catalogue of production, and over 100 hours of both Live and studio mixes, the artist continues to expand and explore musical bliss.
VILIFY reaches across bass music, jungle, experimental electronic, world, melodic and more. It was a created in a time of uncertainty, aiming to release fear & past Karmic cycles in an effort to open the door to brighter, more authentic being.
Now returning with the first full length release since 2019’s Paradise Is A State Of Mind, VILIFY is back with the new album Illusion Of Self, released via OHM Resistance.
Lifted from the album is the opening track “Surrender”, an experimental and downtempo trip-hop exploration showcases the producer’s knack for crafting deep and dark soundscapes to deliver an otherworldly listening experience.
