Future R&B from ALTAN

Hamburg-based electronic pop artist ALTAN aligns a heartfelt tone with future R&B and experimental pop. During the pandemic the singer-songwriter and producer used his spare time to focus on music projects as an indie artist, with a lot lined up for the future.

Now, he brings us his latest single “Nevermind”, a heartfelt and dreamy piece that showcases his emotive songwriting. Following a string of recent singles such as “Took It All” and “Lies”, the new track offers ALTAN’s signature blend of deep electronic soundscapes with atmospheric vocal work. Subtle rhythms pair with a downtempo sonic tapestry on this worthy synth-driven track.

Commenting on the track, he offers, “Nevermind is about dealing with difficult circumstances. I wrote this song at the peak of the pandemic where so many people, including myself, struggled with their life situation not knowing when things will get better.”

Adding, “It describes a person who wants to help a loved one out of the unknown, but isn’t able to do so and finally reaches the point of indifference. ‘I’d rather hear a note of hope that it’s alright but never mind’.”
