LA-based artist Rocky Rose is the alter ego of composer Allison Piccioni originally hails from Ohio. With degrees from Berklee College of Music and the Royal College of Music in London she’s added a plethora of strings to her musical bow. Not just a songwriter and singer, she’s a multi-instrumentalist, synth programmer, voice actor recording and touring musician and also wears the prestigious hat of Professor of Composition for Screen & Orchestration.
Having worked with 4 time Grammy award winning producer Rob Carranza as well as Grammy award winning producer Matt Champlin, she’s also the touring keyboardist for Persian pop star Siavash Ghomayshi, hitting 6 countries in 2019 and heading back to Istanbul September 2021. She played on a national tour for the Broadway musical Evita, playing over 72 shows in 30 venues across a 17,000 mile span of the United States.Â
With Rocky Rose, she unleashes her pop-centric creativity and brings us East Coast meets SoCal vibes with the debut single “Let’s Ride”. Enlisting Mike Clairmont on guitar and bass, and MB Gordy on drums and live percussion, she drops the first taste of her Rocky Rose endeavour.
Paired with the single release comes a music video, produced by Three Masters Media, which features a 1959 Chevrolet Corvette and splashes of colour throughout, reflecting the upbeat and psychedelic nature of the music in this rhythmic summer jam.
