Deep house DJ and producer Nico P hails from the Belgian capital Brussels where he’s become a veteran of the underground music scene over the years. For nearly two decades, he’s soundtracked the city’s nights as well as bringing his sound to fans further afield, playing regular slots at festivals and Ibiza.
Initially becoming infatuated with the electronic music world aged 14, listening to mixtapes from the local nights, he set his sights on eventually getting behind the decks himself. Cementing himself as a regular name on dance floors every night he’s become a staple of the deep house music circuit.
After thousands of performances, his sound has developed into something instantly recognisable as his own, blending a range of styles and sub-genres such as techno and progression, with more modern sounds of deep and melodic house.
Now he brings us one of his recent official releases, with the track “Anamata”, released via his label DHB. The track demonstrates all that people have come to love about Nico P. Strong rhythms churn throughout, with melodic synth work winding above on this worthy deep house cut with an Afro touch.
