LA-based artist Jōviky blends dark alternative pop sounds with hybrid hip hop to create his genre-busting style. With his music, he threads his honesty to unearth his own truths, spinning stories even in his most obscure line of lyrics.
He’s dropped a string of tracks over the last couple of years, building on the momentum as he reaches new fans around the world with each release. Now he brings us the recent single “Feeling Is”, picking up on the sound he delivered with the preceding track “Love in Montana”.
Emotionally charged with a driving energy, the track was written by Jōviky with production from
fellow LA artist MaxxW. Laying down rhythmically swung bars that flow perfectly over a lo-fi beat and a tapestry of colourful instrumentation, on “Feeling Is”, Jōviky offers another worthy alt hip hop cut that oozes originality.
Commenting on the track, he offers, “I’ve been dealing with a complex array of emotional states and reactions. At this point, I feel like I’m just trying to survive and keep my mind right. If you can relate, and want to turn up a little bit, this song is for you.”
