Musician and producer hailing from the Canadian city of Toronto, Luxe, takes the classic early 00’s sound of pop punk artists such as Blink 182, New Found Glory and The Starting Line and brings it to the present. Keeping the angsty energy and writing true to his influences, he offers his own take on the sound with a modern sheen.
With a bunch of well-received EPs under his belt and a string of singles to match, he threads a consistent line of hard-hitting rock with hook-driven writing carried forward by his melodic vocal delivery to create a fiercely catchy and constantly bouncing music. Now he brings us his latest release with the new EP, get over yourself.
Written, performed and recorded entirely by Luxe himself with co-writing from Nick Toews and Jake Barnes, the album has a rare sense of authenticity with the finished product coming wholly from the artist’s sonic vision.
From start to finish across the seven track release, drums pound, guitars crunch and Luxe belts out vocals that throw ear worm lines guaranteed to stick in your head. With get over yourself, he demonstrates he’s the all-round pop punk talent that shows no sign of slowing down.
Commenting on his future plans, he shares, “I’m just excited to hit the road again and perform these songs. This album has the perfect amount of energy for live shows and I can’t wait to share it with the fans.”
