Canadian composer Raynald Grenier began his musical journey in the 1980s as a performer, initially working as an accompanying pianist, he then began conducting for various musical and vocal groups. After many performances all over Canada and the USA as well as in Europe, he turned his sights to writing and composing which lead to him creating enchanting harmonies for musicals, ballets and operas as well as his own solo project work.
The Québec-based artist draws inspiration from iconic classical composers such as Mozart and Beethoven to craft his own orchestral compositions. With a string of albums under his belt, demonstrating an expansive body of work, he now brings us one of his latest full-lengths with the aptly titled album, Dolci Momenti – which translates to ‘sweet moments’ in English.
With a glance at the picturesque cover art, you’ll get an immediate sense of what the sonic element has to offer. With nine original instrumental compositions, complete with full orchestral arrangements, Dolci Momenti delivers a stunning listening experience that bends from the calm and meditative to the tense and cinematic.
Expertly arranged by Grenier and perfectly captured in the studio, with Dolci Momenti he shares another accomplished body of work that once again confirms his position on the map as a truly talented classical artist and composer.
