Australian music producer Adi Durai creates his own unique brand of dark and brooding electronic music. Blurring the lines between emotional melodic house and harder hitting techno, he offers a sound that is equally at home on the dance floor as it is on a late night drive.
Snapping beats and driving bass lines, peppered with fluttery synth work all combine to make an energetic atmosphere capped by his flawless production. The Melbourne-based artist has released a string of well-received singles over the last year, including a recent collaboration on “Falling” which featured vocals from Luke Coulson. On “Falling”, Adi Durai shares, “The song is about a broken relationship and trying to determine if it is worth saving.”
Now he’s back with a reimagining of that track, this time enlisting fellow Aussie artist, the Sydney-based producer Forward Fox to remix the song. Bringing a new perspective to the release, Forward Fox drops a dreamy rework of the original.
Full of swelling pad synths and subtly stunning instrumental melodic lines which pair perfectly with Luke Coulson’s smooth vocal delivery to create a beautiful smoky sound that compliments Adi Durai’s sonic aesthetic perfectly.
