Miami-based alternative rock outfit Palomino Blond formed in 2018 and quickly established themselves as one of the hardest-working bands in Florida. With only a handful of demos under their belt, they were packing house shows and converted warehouses all over the state.
The band has held its strictly ‘music-first’ approach as they’ve gained popularity in their local area and across the world, leading to them being recognised by none other than punk legend Iggy Pop as “one of Miami’s brightest lights”.
Not only able to delight their fans with their raucous live shows and infectious stage energy, they’ve been working on capturing the Palomino Blond sound in the studio. They recently released their debut full-length release with the new album titled ontheinside.
Recorded and produced with Jonathan Nuñez of Torche, their album delivers an impactful modern rock sound, full of fuzzed out guitars and hook-focused vocal work to make a blistering sound across the whole release. From the opening, and title track “ontheinside” to the album closer “Secrets” they channel the sound of 90s indie and grunge styles to create a worthy debut release from a band that proves the hype is deserved.
