Persian-American artist It’s Shme became passionate about music from an early age, delighting in the joy and energy he found in its art. The pandemic gave him a moment for reflection and he used it as a springboard to reinvent himself and become an artist with the aim of bringing those same emotions to others.
His sound is built from a foundation of house music with pop sensibilities, exploring the values of diversity and harmony as he works to fuse the two together to create a sound that excites. Strictly intended to bring good vibes and be enjoyed, his music brings a smile to listeners’ faces with its upbeat synth-based electronic style.
With his recent release, the single aptly titled “House of Joy” he drops a pure house/EDM cut that’s full of thumping rhythms, wild vocal chops, driving synth work and colourful notes from a melodic flute over the top. Packed full of charged energy and wrapped up in exquisite production, “House of Joy” is a worthy electronic piece that has a subtle nod to his Persian heritage in its bouncy lead lines.
Commenting on the track, he shares, “I like creating music that gives people a good pump for a workout, and this song is truly something that would be perfect for a workout playlist.”
