Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, indie pop artist, songwriter and session vocalist Nicole Issa started from humble beginnings by busking and performing around the city’s live music scene. When she started to pick up momentum with her musicality and songwriting, she found work with council organisations such as Blacktown Youth Services Association writing songs for their youth campaigns.
With her work as an in-demand backing vocalist, she’s performed professionally alongside Aussie artist Odette at Sydney and Melbourne concerts as well as several sessions on Triple J shows. This taste and experience of the music industry led Nicole to focus on her own career and strive for success as a solo artist.
Following the release of her well-received debut single “Home”, which struck a chord with fans and tastemakers all over the world, she now brings us the follow up track “Feel Ok”. Co-written and produced with local phenomenon Chelsea Warner, “Feel Ok” offers an uplifting sound despite the context of the song centring around the conflicting feelings of love and resentment that appear at the end of a relationship.
Delivered by her accomplished vocal talents, on her new single she lays down an instantly catchy indie pop piece that shows an artist of exceptional ability embarking on their exciting solo journey.
