Moscato releases new album

Italian musician and composer Simone Moscato has decades of musical experience from playing for various projects including his own work which he releases under his surname, Moscato. Having drawn on his wealth of experience, he’s now found his own perfect blend of composition, vocal work and a fusion of acoustic and electronic instrumentation.

With his introductory full-length release of the new vision, he brings us his debut album, titled The Path Of Least Resistance. A truly stunning body of work, the new album offers an atmospheric take on the indie folk style. Beautiful melody-focused leads drift above a piquant mix of instrumental arrangements as delicate vocal lines float loftily above.

Across the ten songs, the Rome-based artist shares a dreamy journey that flutters between compelling cinematic sounds to soft and hazy tones. Commenting on the new album, he shares, “‘The path of least resistance’ is a story expressed through the music of two years of travel. In the period preceding the choice to compose and write this record, I traveled the world, India, Nepal, France, Spain; Germany, Greece and of course Italy. Each of these trips struck me in one particular aspect, certainly changing me, and giving me answers to questions I didn’t know I had.”

Adding, “The discovery of these new and at the same time old questions about myself and the world put me in front of who I was, pushed me to try to understand what had happened in my life until that moment and what I wanted to happen from that moment. on. This whole process has become the record, which therefore contains sounds from my past, experiments that I will find in the future, elaborations of these experiences that have made each song something truly intimate.”
