Since the age of seventeen, musician Meghan Pulles has been writing her own songs. Originally a classically trained opera singer, she’s since ventured out on her singer-songwriter journey, with a belief that music is medicine and by sharing her pain and struggles through her music, she can empower others to do the same.
Releasing her first EP, Keep the Light On, towards the end of 2019, she’s gone from strength to strength with her songs being played on over 50 radio stations and racking up hundreds of thousands of streams online. Covering themes of grief, mental health and hope, with her introduction she set the tone as an artist that shares her vulnerabilities through intimate and personal writing.
Following her debut EP, she’s released a string of well-received singles and collaborated with pop singer-songwriter Eric Bay on the track “Song For My Angel”. For her own music, she’s coined the term ’emo-positive’, a phrase that both loosely describes her sound while also avoiding boxing it into any one genre or style, rather sitting in the indie folk and pop sphere.
Currently working on her debut full-length release with producer Harper Hames, she brings us her latest single, titled “Rabbit Hole”. The new track shows an artist at the top of her game, written about following someone down a negative path to your own detriment. With her relatable and meaningful lyricism, she soundtracks the feelings that stem from changing who you are for someone or something.
Beautifully crafted and stunningly performed, on “Rabbit Hole”, Meghan Pulles shares her profound songwriting wrapped up in a catchy and memorable sound.
