Hailing from the Czech Republic, singer-songwriter Yana has always held music as a big part of her life with a special fascination of meaningful lyrics. With her own music, she aims to pass on messages to the listeners to give them food for thought as they enjoy the sound.
Influenced by the likes of Interference, Mic Christopher, J Eoin, Cloud Cult, Glen Hansard and many others, her music has been played all over the world and she’s performed in places such as Ireland, the UK, Belgium as well as her home country of the Czech Republic.
Since the release of her debut EP, Distant Shore, she’s gone on to release a string of singles as she puts together the material for her debut album which is being recorded in Ireland, a country that she feels a strong connection to. Now she brings us the first single from the upcoming full-length with the new track “Reach Out”.
With her new single, she once again delivers her delicate indie folk writing full of slowly weaving melodies above a stripped back arrangement of guitars and light percussion. Recorded in Dublin, the aptly titled “Reach Out” is a song about mental health and the importance of having someone to talk to when facing dark times.
