Low Key Crush, friends Taycian and Tim, have dropped their new single “Night Time”. The Australian duo flirt with guitar and harmony evoking an Indie – Noir vibe that plays softly on the ear. Both from Melbourne Australia, Tim’s lyrics often about love or unadulterated feelings, complements his ataractic vocals and Taycian on drums, they are best listened to whilst driving or seen live with the last person you’ve kissed.
If dream pop is your go to for a long drive to the beach then “Night Time” should be on your playlist, the soothing vocals, layered melodies and breezy soundscapes unwinds the body. The drop of their new single sharpens the desire for their anticipated EP Bats Over The Eastern Freeway due to be released in winter south of the equator.
The pair have already bagged a spot on “Hype Machines Best New Music and Most Blogged Artists Playlist” and Spotify’s “Fresh Finds: Indie Playlist”. They also play on national radio if you are lucky enough to live in Melbourne. The romantic and self-finding solo represents a protagonist who wants to find meaning in their uncontrollable emotions, a love story of the desire to feel anchored and wanted is a feeling many can relate to. It’s shown through a collage of videos on film which plays homage to 90s Australia.
