“Someone Real” From Stephen James Orr and Eunice Keiten

Toronto-based musician Stephen James Orr teams up with singer Eunice Keiten in a reviving beaming pop neo-soul-infused single.

“Someone Real” is a definite ode to authentic connection, and is relatable to nearly every relationship, as the track highlights a concrete jungle distant society, and everything that comes with it. This record underlines Keiten’s sultry vocals which smoothly ride over the electronic drums. Eunice sings “There are moments where I just want to rewind” Eunice imparts, and her vocals are accompanied by Stephen’s sleek guitar loop.

The short but sweet bright melody progresses to the gripping hook which gathers the record together and combines heavier drums and layered spacey vocals. “I know your soul has been searching” Eunice utters which is something to reflect on. This mellow record sails to the bridge which opens with a gleaming guitar riff, followed by more thought-provoking lines. This hopeful pop number is alluring but still real, uncovering our detached fellowship with one another.

“Someone Real” follows up on Stephen’s six singles released in 2021. Stephens’s album is also set to be released this year in collaboration with a range of different visual artists, this release looks solid and promising with his catalog so far.

Stephen is a songwriter, producer, and guitarist. This all-rounded talent is on a great path.
