Indie Pop, sprinkled with Electro, Self-taught singer and guitarist Søren Lake’s inspiring new single “Gold” is full of emotions and empowerment as she invites others to reconnect with their inner truth, looking for everything that makes their hearts beat faster, and where opposites unite to make life shine brighter.
“Gold” is written about a lost girl who is in need of saving but fears she may stain and corrupt everything she touches. Throughout the soul-searching song, she finally understands that she is exactly who she was made to be, and accepts all that comes from inside her, both light and darkness. The once lost girl now shines brighter than ever.
French singer songwriter Søren Lake began her musical journey in small venues and bars based in San Francisco and London where she showcased her talent by performing her very own Folk songs. Inspired by Agnes Obel, Tori Amos and Lykee Li, she was led to create her own unique style. Looking to reconnect and align with her purpose, she relocated to a peaceful and quiet area which became the beginning of a whole new adventure. The remote area really dug deep into the truest and most vulnerable part of herself. Whilst out there discovering her true identity she began to produce her new upcoming album Burn which is to be released at the end of 2022. In February 2021, talented Søren took the next steps to excel in her music career and moved to Lille, a city in the North of France where she is now thriving in her musical journey.
