Marble is the Pacific North-West indie rock outfit formed by two close friends – singer and guitarist Chantel Bailey and guitarist Matthew Blount – when they started playing music together seven years ago in Seattle. Since then they’ve added to and completed their lineup with the additions of brothers Jonny Wade and Matt Wade who play bass and guitar respectively, synth player TJ Grant and William Mapp on drums.
Drawing influence from the likes of Emma Ruth Rundle, Chelsea Wolfe, Wolf Alice, O’Brother, The Kills, The Dead Weather, Brand New, King Woman and Radiohead, they create their own unique brand of haunting post rock music. Their original flavour of melancholy is the product of emotional deep dives, spiritual deconstruction and the bold belief that our shadows connect us.
Characterised by a deep and engaging sound of ambient guitar lines, a driving rhythm section and earnest vocals that flutter between soaring and intimate tones, they deliver an ethereal sound that’s as soothing as it is introspective.
Now they bring us their recent single and the first track released from their upcoming debut album with the new song “red room”. On their new single they share their exciting cinematic indie rock sound full of complex writing structures and blissfully chaotic instrumentation that draws you in and leaves you wanting more as the song builds to a crescendo finale. A truly epic composition, with “red room”, MARBLE share the first taste of their most ambitious release yet.
