Based out of Wichita, Kansas, Dax is an artist on the rise who’s been making waves with his blistering flow and rap freestyles. Currently on a path of making something from absolutely nothing, he’s been racking up millions of streams and views on his videos, seemingly turning everything he touches into musical gold.
Taking influence mostly from poetry, his sound features hard-hitting rap bars delivered at stunning pace which carry his meaningful and conscious lyrical writing. Not just a talented wordsmith with dextrous rapping talent, he also weaves in melodic and captivating work into his songs.
His recent song is the perfect example of his reflective and catchy writing with the single “Dear Alcohol”. Recorded in Montana, the song is a therapeutic anthem about battling demons and trying to kick the urge to drink. Upon making the song, the artist himself kicked in his drinking habit and embraced new found sobriety with a clear mind.
Paired with the track is a new music video shot by Logan Meis to reflect the delicate sentiments of the song. Commenting on the track, Dax shares, “Dear Alcohol is a song I wrote about the struggle with alcohol that I think can also relate to many other addictions or vices people may deal with.”
