Based between Yorkshire and Manchester, Gideon Foster is a UK artist that started his musical journey later in life than most. Up until he was 46 years old he’d never written any songs, however after that point he’s let his creativity flow freely and released several tracks as well as currently having a debut full length release in the works.
Despite not creating his own compositions until relatively recently, music has always played a huge role in his life. In his early years it was classical music that he engaged with but he’s always had a guitar nearby, sowing the seeds for his own style when he finally made the move to develop it.
While he doesn’t box himself into any one particular style or genre, his songs are often guitar-based indie rock pieces which hold his bright and airy vocal work and catchy melodic writing at their core. Along the way he’s used his new sonic adventure as a form of self discovery, finding out exactly what he’s best at making without being held account to any styles or demands.
Ahead of his upcoming debut album, he recently shared the new single “Fatal Kiss”, an intricate and stunningly written indie rock jam that serves as the first taste of the new record. “Fatal Kiss” shows an artist adept at crafting beautiful vocal and guitar arrangements and confirms that it’s certainly never too late to pursue new artistic dreams.
