Multi-instrumentalist Lex Condes located in New Orleans, USA, has just released his brand new album Blue Basin. The ten-track masterpiece maintains a conscious and deliberate ebb and flows through its showcasing of biting guitars, dripping synths, and pounding rhythms.
With musical inspiration from performers such as Ween, Thee oh Sees, and Caetano Veloso, you can most definitely expect psychedelic, off-the-wall sonic synergies of the highest garage order.
During lockdown in late 2020 after the hiatus of his past band, leafdrinker, Artist Lex began unearthing and recording dormant ideas which is where his journey of becoming Rare Seed began. Taking all of his influenced artists and finding a way to merge them into his own original sound, a little Ween, a dash of Thee Oh Sees, a healthy dose of ’60s Tropicália with the subdued sensibilities from Deerhunter, you then have the sonic gumbo that is Rare Seed himself.
