Born to Kosova-Albanian parents and growing up in Germany, artist Bekim! discovered his love for music at an early age in the 70s. Listening to the records he bought, he would dream of making his own music one day in the future.
During school, he was already writing rap lyrics and made bootleg demos with cassette tapes. As soon as he finished school in 1989, he used his new found freedom to set up a small recording studio and taught himself the theories and performance techniques of harmony as well as how to play keys.
Following that he’s enjoyed a stellar career in music that’s seen him work on countless projects as a composer, songwriter, producer, arranger and engineer. Along the way he’s worked with notable projects such as 2-BPM, Couche-Tard, KMS, 2 Deep, El Toro, Real 7 and many more.
Feeling the urge to venture out as a solo artist, it was inevitable he would start dropping his own tracks, influenced by 90s and noughties R&B and pop under his own name and working with singers to bring his writing to life. Recently he dropped the new single “Close Your Eyes” featuring the very best of his sound that’s been decades in the making.
A timeless and instantly catchy R&B hit, with his new single, Bekim! delivers a smooth pop sound full of groove and beautifully melodic vocal work. As an experienced and accomplished artist, he shows he’s at the very top of his game and continues to deliver music that moves you.
