Swedish composer Daniel Hedin has been creating music with dazzling originality for over a decade, with his songs acting as invitations to step into his mind and journey through the various worlds dreamt up by his expansive creative vision. Leading the project, he lays down his own vocals, guitar, piano and other instruments while linking with other musicians to add further colour to his work including Simon Björck on drums and harmonica, Joel Andersson on harmonica and electric guitar as well as Jonas Palm and Elin Grände Wood as Cellists.
Making his introduction in 2011 with his debut album Dead People On Tape, he made a statement from artist that’s here to deliver a sound entirely his own and completely unheard before. Silence followed as the artist took an abrupt hiatus which lasted for six years before making a return with his intimate and vulnerable sophomore record I Am Your King, a work so personal it appeared to leave nothing out as he captured his deepest thoughts and mindset in sonic form.
With his third album, 2021’s We Are Nowhere, he laid bare his fragility and once again confirmed his artistic convictions in delivering raw songwriting in its purest form. Now, back with a new release he shares his latest work with the new album titled Stuck in My Head (Alternate Recordings).
An alternate recording session held at Svenska Grammofonstudion in Gothenburg, the new album features re-imagined versions from the second and third LPs, as well as new compositions such as “Shadow King”, “In My Chest” and “My Mind Sees It All”. Released via Cacospysy Records, the mix of eleven new and re-worked songs showcases the breathtaking artistry of Le Days through stunning and immersive sonic landscapes that leaves the listener utterly captivated.
Released digitally, the album also has a limited run of 100 digipak CDs which can be found on the Le Days Bandcamp page here.
