Alternative Pop from Nother

Italian producer Stefano Milella makes deep electronic music under the Nother alias. After years of working as a producer and composer for the moving image, working on multiple documentaries for National Geographic, the History Channel, Fox as well as writing soundtracks for various short films and movies, he’s now venturing out as a solo artist to bring his unique sonic vision to life.

Having gained a vast experience over the years which has seen him score three feature films and perform with many electronic projects on stages at festivals in the USA, UK, Spain and as far as China, it was after the untimely loss of a close friend that the artist decided on creating his own musical endeavour. With a sole focus on the thing he really cares about most; music – Nother delivers an uncompromising exploration of perfectly crafted and emotive soundscapes.

After making his introduction with last year’s debut single “The Distance” followed by a full-length Future Is Bright, he now shares his first release of 2022 with the new track “US”. Linking with Moon Leap on the song, Nother spins an ethereal and atmospheric electronic pop piece that’s immersive and stunningly captivating.

Dropped via Abyond Music Records, “US” was showcased live for the first time at Primavera Sound at midnight to coincide precisely with the digital release. The bass-driven electronic ballad lays down a cinematic sound full of hazy synth textures and lifted by Moon Leap’s gracefully soaring vocal leads.

Described by Nother as “a way of facing your fears, asking for help to someone you love”, “US” delivers a moving sonic scene that pulls you into a dreamy world from a producer who’s found his calling as an exciting new artist.
