Hyperpop from Jack Goldstein

Hailing from the seaside town of Margate in the UK, Jack Goldstein is the former leader of the psychedelic pop outift Fixers. Now venturing out as a solo artist, he draws on his previous experience to create his own unique experimental lofi pop music.

With his live performances, he completely reimagines his stage work for each album he releases, channeling the energy of artists such as Art Brut and Julian Cope to create an original and fun show that’s both weird and confrontational.

2019 saw the artist drop his fifth studio album, titled Love, the Answer to the Problem of Human Existence via Beanie Tapes. The release marked a change for Jack Goldstein, who had recently moved to Margate after years of becoming a staple in the Oxford music scene.

Now he’s back with his latest record, the new solo album titled the world is ending and i love u, a stunning hyperpop-fuelled journey through themes of love, loss, family and hope once again released via Beanie Tapes. Written in the aftermath of tragically losing both parents during the lockdown, with his latest full-length release, Jack Goldstein pens a rollercoaster of emotions that captures the intensity of his live performances.

Having worked as a solo artist for a decade, for the new LP, Jack invited a handful of friends to add their talents to his songs. Vocal work from over ten collaborators all link up on the ambitious release that serves as a culmination of twenty years of experimentation and expansive creative vision.

Lifted from the album is the lead single “((((((SAILIN))))))”, the perfect taste of Jack Goldstein’s joyous and pioneering art pop style. Carried by his impassioned vocal work, lifted by a piquant arrangement of instruments and wrapped up in his trademark psychedelic tones, on “((((((SAILIN))))))” delivers a lofty and captivating sound.
