Music video from Empty Cans in Outer Space

New addition to the OMNINORM Records roster, Empty Cans in Outer Space is a duo based between Mannheim, Germany, and Minsk, Belarus. First releasing their music together seven years ago on Soundcloud, the pair both play guitars, bass and keys as well as program and produce on their collaborative musical project.

Having released a debut album already, they’re back with their sophomore record titled Outer Worlds. The second full-length release, as its title would suggest, offers a celebration of the history of humans escaping our given home and exploring the unknown in outer space. The ten track release offers a unique spacey electronic rock sound and showcases the expansive creativity of the guitar-synth internet duo.

To celebrate the release of the album OMNINORM Records has produced the band’s first music video for the single “Zabble Dub”. The animated music video sees the band work with the Cyprus-based graphic artist Ivan Drybas, who has a background in game development.

Handcrafted by Ivan Drybas on paper, the visuals perfectly capture the balance between interstellar futurism and the artistic nature of humans as they grasp at the great beyond. Released on April 12th, the music video poignantly coincides with the 61st anniversary of the first human flight into outer space.

Full of buzzy synth textures, an intricate percussion drive and mesmeric melodic leads, “Zabble Dub” captures a spacey sound. With the music video, the monochrome hand-drawn scenes reflect the sound to create a stunning and hypnotic audio-visual experience.
