New EP from Tough On Fridays

Originally starting out as a simple acoustic duo, Tough On Fridays has evolved to become a high-octane force of rock music. Formed by guitarist and vocalist Caleigh, Carly on bass and vocals and completed by the studio and touring drummer Chris Schreck, the Texan trio have become a must-see act in the state’s live music scene and have built up a growing global fanbase with their recorded music.

Taking influence from the likes of Paramore, Basement, Brand New and Third Eye Blind, Tough On Fridays flawlessly blend elements of alternative rock, indie and grunge to craft their own unique sound. Laying down hard-hitting rhythms, crunching guitar riffs and melodic and fiercely catchy vocal leads, they deliver an anthemic modern rock style.

With their live shows, their raw and infectious energy has seen them resonate with fans at every show. Now signed to the prestigious indie imprint Golden Robot Records, they’ve been going from strength-to-strength with each new release.

Following their well-received singles “Lush (Reimagined)” and their riveting cover of Basement’s “Covet”, they’ve just unveiled their new EP titled Overboard!. Featuring both of their latest singles and kicked off by the EP’s title track, the release marks a new aesthetic and direction for the band and paves the way for their upcoming album set to drop this November.

Full of instantly memorable vocal lines and driving energy, on their new EP, Tough On Fridays showcases the very best of their sound. Delivered via shiny modern production, the EP captures the sound of the band’s influences from before while looking ahead to the future. A truly worthy release, Overboard! serves to show just how far the band have come since their roots of singing with acoustic guitars.
