Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, Anton Commissaris is a singer, pianist and composer who creates music around his enduring love of jazz. Taking influence from artists such as Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, and Antonio Carlos Jobim, it was the musical partnership of Lennon and McCartney that first inspired Anton to start composing his own music.
Making his introduction last year, he released his debut EP titled On A Bright Note which he followed up later in the year with both the single “Lonely Bay” and his sophomore EP Out of the Blue. Striking a chord with fans all over the world, he’s already racked up tens of thousands of streams of his songs.
Now he’s back with his first release of the year and his third EP to date with Awakening Sounds. Drawing on his jazz roots, on his latest EP, Anton adds splashes of soul, R&B and Afro-Cuban rhythms. Lifted from the EP is the second track, “Have You Ever”, a Latin style jazz number that captures the very best of Anton’s laid back writing and smooth crooning vocal work.
Transporting you straight to a lounge in Havana, on “Have You Ever”, Anton Commissaris shares a delightful jazz scene full of memorable melodic leads and an arrangement of piano and light brass instrumentation. With similarities to Frank Sinatra, Anton continues to create beautiful and timeless music that leaves a lasting impact on this bright and charming jazz lounge song.
