“Test Drive” by Jordy Nasa

Efflorescing artist Jordy Nasa is firmly on the rise. Entirely self-taught in music and an already established fashion stylist Jordy has released their latest single “Test Drive” and it is the appetiser we needed for their upcoming album DO NOT INTERRUPT to be dropped late August.

Spending most their time between their home town in Atlanta and London, Jordy’s new album has hints of southern flow and the grit of London. Influenced by rappers such as Kanye West, Tyler the Creator and UK rapper Knucks, their album is set to be operatic and poetic. “Test Drive” stands strong next to their other releases “Hotter Than Da Summer” and “M.N.D.B.N.D.R” which can be streamed on Spotify and Apple Music.

“Test Drive” is a vulnerable and soul-searching insight into Jordy’s climb into fame. “Test Drive” is about manifestation and speaking everything you want into existence. Refreshing and stress relieving they explain “I’m just going to do it for me” emphasising that they are going to strive for what they want. This mantra is prevalent throughout their upcoming album where you can follow their journey through life’s obstacles and their intricate creative mindset. The second half of the track highlights the desperation of wanting success and consistency however understanding with success comes negativity. The track is pure and unapologetic focusing on trauma, heartbreak and finding themselves.

For the future Jordy plans to return back to London to pursue a career in fashion design as well as continuing to bless us with more music.
