Multi-instrumentalist and producer Elliott Eriksen has been making music under the RE:UM alias since early 2019. With his music he builds his own virtual orchestras set to chilled out beats to create genre-bending dance tracks.
Before his RE:UM endeavours as a solo artist, he was a bass player that played in multiple bands before progressing to guitar to capture a sound influenced by the alternative and indie music that inspired him at the time such as Bon Iver, Ben Howard and Sufjan Stevens. When he started experimenting with electronic sound, mixing elements of funk and soul with downtempo and dance, he started producing music that would form his releases as RE:UM.
Since making his debut as RE:UM with the single “Notions”, he’s clocked over a staggering 100 million streams on TikTok with his arrangements. Releasing a string of singles over the last three years, he now brings us his fourth track released this year with “Two Palms”.
Laying down the best of his laid back grooving electronic sound, on “Two Palms” he crafts an atmospheric instrumental sonic tapestry full of lo-fi style beats and a mix of piquant guitar and wah-wah leads. Spinning a truly dreamy soundscape, his recent track demonstrates his knack for creating an immersive composition full of bright melodies and rhythm.
