Coming out of the Scottish city of Aberdeen, alternative pop rock trio PAGES. are now based between Edinburgh and Glasgow where they’ve become a staple of the local music scenes. With their epic sound of driving guitars fused with synth textures and led by soaring vocals carrying infectiously catchy melodic lines, they’ve been making waves in the UK and beyond.
Taking inspiration from artists such as Royal Blood, Arctic Monkeys and The Killers, the three talented musicians combine to create memorable and original alternative pop music. With Matt Fraser on vocals, guitars and keyboard, Alistair McKinlay on guitars and Jack Lovie on drums, they make a powerful sound that’s way more than the sum of its parts.
Making an impact straight away, they found themselves supporting The LaFontaines in 2018 just after PAGES. was formed as well as opening for the likes of HYYTS, Voodoo Bandits and Dancing On Tables before going on to headline their own shows and tour. Making their debut in 2019, they shared their first track with “Bubble Brain”, they now bring us their latest offering with their new single titled “So Wrong So Right”.
Recorded by the band’s USA-based producer Joseph Schmidt, with “So Wrong So Right” they build on their trademark style that nods to the instantly familiar pop styles of the 80s wrapped up in a modern punch of indie rock. Once again delivering something truly emphatic, PAGES. continue to go from strength-to-strength with their latest single as they ascend to their inevitable success.
