Cinemtatic Electronic from Wrené

Toronto-based electronic music producer Wrené creates mind-bending soundscapes that dissolve the usually stark line between reality and surrealism. Not just a music artist, she’s also an actor and poet and uses her talent in a variety of different singing techniques to weave ethereal and haunting vocal lines into her experimental sound.

Blending both organic and electronic instrumentation with found sounds and original samples all wrapped up in exquisite sound design, her music offers a truly immersive listening experience tied to familiarity via piquant sprees of pop-focused melodic ideas. With each composition, the artist crafts a story that transports the listener to the depth of her creative world.

Unveiling the Wrené project in 2020, she released her debut single “Nude”, which she’s since followed up with a plethora of stunning singles, albums and EPs that showcase her wildly unique artistic vision. Now, off the back of two collaborative tracks with “Trib Al” with Chris Jaxon and “SHAME” with enjyng, she brings us her latest single with the new track titled “Starlight (10hz Alpha Waves)”.

Laying down her typical atmospheric sound, on her recent single she draws from the spiritual and meditation world by spinning binaural beats on a song that takes its name from the 10hz frequency pulse known as the ‘Alpha Wave’. A significant composition in the Wrené journey, “Starlight (10hz Alpha Waves)” is the first song that’s entirely instrumental and incorporates new and unheard sounds.

Demonstrating her talent as a producer and her skill at making mesmeric pieces of music, “Starlight (10hz Alpha Waves)” shows an artist in constant evolution with a track unlike anything else out there.
