Halde drops debut album

Canadian artist Halde is the new solo project from co-founder and vocalist Sabrina of the Montreal-based indie pop outfit Groenland. After clocking three million views on their YouTube channel, more than 33,000 record sales and sold out shows at various venues, Sabrina took a step back to reassess and undergo a sauntered transformation following both her sonic success and recent losses in her life.

Retreating to a small cottage in Chertsey to seek solace, recover and reinvent herself, after a period away she’s re-emerged with a new creative vision and original material. Leaning into a more electro style, she maintains her indie pop roots full of instantly catchy melodic writing and grooving rhythms filtered through her own sonic lens.

Hoping to inspire other on a path of healing and self-discovery, she unveiled her new project with the debut Halde single last year with the track “Little Pleasures”. Now she showcases the depth of her artistic world with the release of her brand new debut record titled The Flow.

Drawing on her own life experience, the title of the album refers to taking positive steps to slow down and take time to listen, reflect and practice self-care to take actions from a place of intent and love. Featuring eleven stunning new songs, on The Flow, Halde offers a memorable indie pop record with playful electronic touches.

With her smooth vocals at the forefront carrying vibrant melodic writing above colourful instrumentation and shuffling rhythms, Halde delivers a worthy debut album to mark the next chapter in her stellar musical journey.
