Pink Films releases debut EP

Originally from the Winchester area and now based in Brighton, Pink Films is the new musical project of guitarist and producer Adam Hailstone. Growing up with a music obsessed father, a young Adam was encouraged to listen to artists such as Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd, instilling a passion for music in him from an early age.

Cutting his teeth in a string of successful local bands, he developed his artistic talents in the small and intimate venues of London’s Shoreditch and Tooting areas where he played multiple sold-out shows. When he started to mess around with GarageBand on his phone, he began to piece together his own sonic vision and embarked on a journey that would see him flourish into the exciting artist known as Pink Films today.

Fusing elements of synth-based instrumentation with dashes of surf rock and psychedelic tones, he offers a truly delightful and entirely original style of of dreamy indie pop. Having made his introduction last year with the debut single “Turqoise”, he now brings us his first EP titled FROM THE TOP FLOOR EP.

Composed over a two year stint from his small spare bedroom, the name of the EP stems from his flat sitting on the top floor of the building. Full of grooving rhythms, washy synths and guitars dripping in reverb, Adam’s soft and alluring vocal delivery, Pink Films’ debut EP spins a captivating indie pop outing filtered through a hazy lens of sepia tones.

Bending from the energetic to the ethereal, punching beats intertwine with soporific and immersive instrumentation to craft a sound that’s equal parts cutting edge and retro resulting in a stunning first EP release from a talented artist who surely destined for great things.
