Hailing from Brighton on the south coast of the UK, CLOUD is a psych rock five-piece who takes influence from the pioneering Australian acts in the scene as well as artists such as Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Pink Floyd. Formed by musicians Tom Collins, Dan Norman, Alex Lièvre, Tom Tollyfield, and Charlie Atkinson, the quintet offers their own style of electrifying rock n’ roll music full of spacey textures and mesmeric melodic writing.
Over the last year they’ve been sharing their unique sonic vision since the release of their debut single “When Reapers Attack”. Followed up by sophomore release “The Prophecy” before dropping their first full-length release with their debut record The Fourth Planet, they’ve struck a chord with fans around the world, racking up tens of thousands of streams along the way.
Now, off the back of their first album, they bring us their latest work with the new single titled “Circles”. The first song lifted from their highly anticipated second LP to be announced for release next year, on their new single CLOUD spin an energising modern alternative rock outing dripping in psychedelic vibes.
Delivering a captivating and transportive sound, that’s both charged and cinematic, their film score inspirations from composers such as Hans Zimmer and Howard Shore shine through in the grandiosity of the sound on “Circles”.
Following the story of a time traveler falling in love with a woman from an alternate timeline who then discovers the tragic consequences of the butterfly effect, with “Circles” CLOUD share a dazzling indie-galactic sound that serves to build further excitement for their forthcoming sophomore record.
