Hailing from Arizona, electronic music producer and DJ Ben Dorman has been making groundbreaking dance music under the BIJOU alias, pioneering the g-house movement around the world. Following his breakout collaboration with Dr. Fresch on “Hello” in 2016, he’s been going from strength-to-strength over the last six years.
Dropping a string of hit singles including “Crown” which featured Tyler Graves and “Floetry” with Ro Ransom, he’s also released stellar EPs such as Gangsta Party and Super Phat. Taking his music to the stage, he’s embarked on four headline tours of the USA, entertaining scores of fans across the country.
This year he’s enjoyed seemingly endless success via multiple explosive releases and a massive twenty-three date stint on his Stay Fly tour alongside bass-house sensation Martin Hørger. Now, seeing out 2022 in style, he brings us his final release of the year with his brand new single titled “Six Shots”.
Released via his own imprint Do Not Duplicate Recordings, BIJOU’s latest cut sees the prolific artist drop a hard-hitting sound brimming with grooving rhythm. Laying down his trademark four-to-the-floor style wrapped up by his assured sound design talent, “Six Shots” is yet another dance music anthem from an artist who continues to deliver at the very highest level.
Commenting on the track, he shares, “I wrote this record 8 months ago with the intention of it lighting up the festival stages all summer long. It did just that with better reaction than I even anticipated with it also lighting up the clubs. The goal was to write an infectious baseline to get every person on the dance floor shuffling their asses off.”
Adding, “The steel drum lead gives it an island summer vibe to compliment the short but sweet vocal loop. The vocal gives off confidence and I wanted to give every person that same feeling letting them know that they’re meant to be here and are the truth. I’m super stoked for this one to finally hit the airwaves and spread worldwide.”
