Debut single from Malibu Hot Flush

Based in Manchester in the UK, Malibu Hot Flush is a new collaborative project between singer and guitarist Luigi Tiberio and modular artist Tim Bleasdale. Originally starting out as jam sessions between the two musicians where they explored new sonic avenues that stemmed from their unique musical backgrounds, the partnership flourished to take shape as their latest venture that sees the pair make their first foray into the commercial music world together.

Drawing on a range of different styles such as post punk, new wave, disco, indie and various electronic genres, they craft their own unique sound of instantly memorable synth pop music. Ready to unveil their new endeavour this year, they bring us their debut single titled “Make It Matter”, the perfect showcase of their catchy electro style.

Squaring their contrasting musical backgrounds, on their first single they pair cutting edge modular synthesis with Luigi Tiberio’s vocal and guitar work. Laying down a bouncy rhythm driven by a snapping beat, on “Make It Matter” they spin an immersive and spacey sound threaded with accessible melodic writing that results in a hook-filled and danceable track that showcases the perfect match up between two artists who combine to create something new.

Linking up with Mogwai’s producer Tony Doogan at Glasgow’s Castle of Doom Studios, their first single makes an exciting statement from a new act. With two new songs already set to drop in the next few months, Malibu Hot Flush have made a worthy entrance with a promise to build on that momentum as they embark on their worthwhile musical partnership.
