Sophie Castriota drops “TELL IT STR8”

Hailing from Brisbane, Sophie Castriota is a rising Australian pop songstress who’s also a direct bloodline descendent of an Albanian Lord. At age four, she started to learn the violin and began her musical journey, going on to become one of the youngest members of the Queensland Youth Orchestra by the time she was eleven.

Performing at various festivals such as the Melbourne Albanian Independence celebrations for the 100th anniversary of Independence and Hardhfest Festival in Rahovec, Kosovo, in 2017 she started to write her own original material and ventured out as a solo artist. Collaborating with other artists in both Australia and Europe, she dropped her debut self-produced track “Gone For The Night” in 2019 to critical acclaim and has since shared her evolving sonic vision over the last three years.

Following her track “I Feel Love” with Vikthor in February, she now brings us her latest release with her brand new single titled “TELL IT STR8”. An uplifting and motivating anthem for women, with “TELL IT STR8” Sophie Castriota lays down an empowering song that inspires self-belief and encourages you to be true to yourself.

With a hard-hitting beat and razor sharp instrumental production, the artist spins her vocal work carrying instantly memorable top lines. Leading by example and being unapologetically herself, Sophie Castriota’s latest cut is a powerful modern pop outing with bags of commercial appeal.

Commenting on the single, she shares, “This song represents courage and finding your truth and identity. Not conforming to the expectations society brands you with, but rather going against ‘standard’ expectations and freeing yourself.”
