Gelida drops new EP

Gelida is a rising Danish DJ and music producer who’s been making waves in recent years in Scandinavia and beyond with his razor sharp electronic sound. Now after the recent inauguration of his brand new studio and setting up his own label called Rever Records, he’s on an upward trajectory that will surely see him take the world by storm.

So far on his sonic journey, the young artist has already received praise from industry legends such as Nicky Romero and Pink Panda, as well as support from leading labels including Spinnin’ Records and Protocol Recordings, while racking up hundreds of thousands of streams of his music along the way.

First hitting the scene in 2018 with his debut cut “Savage”, he’s dropped a plethora of successful releases over the years since and now, via his imprint Rever Records, he brings us his brand new EP titled Long Story Short. Linking up with singer-songwriter Otto Palmborg on each of the EP’s four tracks, as well as collaborating with DJ and music producer RYBERG on the song “Try Again”, with his latest release Gelida serves up an electronic pop masterclass.

Floating between styles of deep house, dance and trap, across Long Story Short, Gelida weaves mesmeric and energising electronic tapestries beneath the stunning vocal performances of Otto Palmborg to craft four captivating dance pop hits. Full of euphoric tones, uplifting melodic writing and danceable beats, with his new EP the Danish music sensation delivers a magnum opus that confirms the hype around such an exciting new artist.

Showcasing both his production panache and skill as a songwriter and collaborator, Long Story Short is the latest dazzling release from a must watch act who, despite all his achievements already, is only just getting started.
