Based in Manchester, producer Holy Other is a ground breaking dark ambient artist who first made his debut in 2010 with his 7″ single “We Over” via Transparent Records. Maintaining an elusive appearance and online presence, his story has been shrouded in mystery – much like his live shows that see him perform in enigmatic, hooded attire.
After making an impact with his first effort, he signed to the iconic Tri Angle Records imprint and dropped his debut EP With U in 2011 before releasing his first full-length record in 2012 with the critically acclaimed album, Held. After an extended hiatus, he returned in 2021 with the collaborative tracks “Lieve” with Daniel Thorne and “Groundless” with NYX before sharing the sophomore LP Lieve.
Now he brings us his latest work, this time remixing the track titled “Indigo” by French Barcelona-based duo O’o. Spinning his trademark hazy electronic style, with his remix of the track he crafts a bright and intimate sound full of intricate percussive snaps, a sparse arrangement of instrumental textures and spliced vocal lines.
Featuring cunning rhythmic chops and tempo changes, Holy Other re-imagines the original song in his distinct and captivating sonic flair. Weaving a truly immersive soundscape, the renowned underground producer once again shows the genius that’s seen him capture the imagination of listeners around with world with another enthralling production.
