UK-based rapper RSD first made waves a decade ago, earning a reputation for his razor-sharp flow and songwriting skill. Sharing his music on YouTube, he delivered an incredible catalogue of releases that saw him link up with artists from a diverse range of backgrounds and styles, including a hit single featuring Don Menna which secured radio support from the renowned Reprezent Radio.
Taking influence from artists such as Mic Righteous, Bunny Banks and Dappy, RSD’s style offers a cutting edge modern UK hip hop aesthetic. After making his introduction, he then took a five year hiatus from music.
Now he’s back and picks up where he left off with his explosive return via a brand new single titled “Earner”, a fresh drill style cut to signal his sonic revival. With all the ingredients of the perfect rap song, on “Earner” a powerful beat drives the energy, backed up by a piquant blend of instrumentation and echoed vocal textures behind RSD’s hard-hitting flows.
Commenting on the writing of the song, RSD shares, “I already knew this was gonna be an easy one to write too. So over a couple of days while in the work van I would have the beat on replay just gradually writing until my chorus was ready.”
With production from close friend G1, as well as verses from him alongside guest artists Emz and Jay Frearson, RSD’s new track is a triumphant showcase of his talent as well as his collaborative nature. Wrapped up in exquisite sound design, “Earner” packs a potent punch to usher in the next chapter of the RSD sonic story.
